IPTV player for iPhone and iPad: M3U, Xtream Codes and Jellyfin
· Checked with BurgTV 1.1.0 (iPhone/iPad)
BurgTV is a neutral media player for iPhone and iPad: it opens your M3U playlists, Xtream Codes logins, your Jellyfin server and Portal sources, and lets you send live TV to the big screen with AirPlay. Get it from the App Store. You bring the source: BurgTV provides no content.

- 7-day free trial protected by Apple's DeviceCheck; if it isn't available right now, the app tells you

On Mac, iPad side by side and Apple Vision Pro
Since version 1.0.18 BurgTV adapts to the window it runs in. On a Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later) you find it in the Mac App Store among the iPhone and iPad apps: it opens in a resizable window or full screen. It is not available on Intel Macs. On iPad it also works next to other apps, on foldable iPhones it adapts when you open or close the screen, and on Apple Vision Pro it runs as an iPad app.
On Mac and Vision Pro, too, you add your own source in the app: BurgTV provides no content.
Sources you can use
BurgTV includes no channels: it plays what your provider or your own server gives you. On iPhone and iPad you can use:
- M3U playlist: a link with the list of streams. Not sure where to start? Read how to open an M3U file.
- Xtream Codes: server, username and password. Step-by-step help in how to set up Xtream Codes.
- Jellyfin: your personal media server with your home library.
- Portal: the portal supplied by your source.
Watch on your TV with AirPlay
With AirPlay you send video from your iPhone or iPad to an Apple TV or an AirPlay 2 compatible TV. It is the easiest route if your Smart TV can’t install Android apps: see our guide to IPTV on Samsung and LG Smart TVs. With Picture-in-Picture, the video stays on your phone in a small window while you reply to a message or check your email.
Live TV, guide and audio
- Per-channel guide in live TV: see what is on now and next on the selected channel (not the full grid of the TV app).
- Audio tracks: if the stream carries more than one, choose your language.
- Timeshift: pause live TV and rewind, with a 15, 30, 60 or 120-minute buffer (30 by default) stored on the device.
- Subtitle delay: if subtitles are out of sync, move them earlier or later from the player’s subtitle menu.
- Offline viewing of movies and episodes from your source, when your source allows it: handy on a train or a plane.
Premium on iPhone and iPad
- 7-day free trial to try Premium.
- After the trial, Premium is bought through the App Store: a subscription or a lifetime purchase. The price is the one shown in the app.
- With the same Apple ID your purchase works on both iPhone and iPad. If a device doesn’t show it as active, tap Restore Purchases.
- A license bought on the website (app.burgtv.com) is for the TV apps (Fire TV, Google TV, Android TV) and does not apply on iPhone and iPad.
Looking for one player across your screens?
BurgTV is the same player on iPhone, iPad, Fire TV and Google TV; on the TV it also has the full guide grid. If you are comparing the well-known players, read our TiviMate alternative page too. Keep in mind that you add your source on each device.
